The company is a leader in the provision of on-demand meeting and events spaces. Emanating from a hospitality-based platform, Convene meeting venues provide thoughtfully designed, high-performance, serviced locations that have disrupted and transformed the window-less conference venue standard.

As part of their expansion and diversification Convene commissioned BVN and Jasmax in association to develop a new workplace product that would respond to the market demand for flexible-leasing.

Designed as an adjunct to their existing Meetings product, the ‘BOX’ offering comprises various sized worksuites and common collaborative spaces. The concept is that the fitout is installed rather than constructed, with a focus on design quality, cost certainty, flexibility for change and radically reduced timeframes to complete.

The first phase of the development is intended to provide landlords with a hosted workplace platform that can be scaled across entire building portfolios. Designed for manufacture, the kit-of-parts system comprises a prefabricated chassis that is common to all applications.

A branded configurable overlay responds and adapts simply to the needs of client and location. The whole system sits within a technology and hospitality platform, providing a fitout-as-a-service model.

BVN has evolved the methodology created in the BOX product into new ways of providing the traditional Convene Meetings venues.

Currently being prototyped, a new Innovation Meets product that responds to agile work practices and design-thinking methods, is expanding the Convene portfolio in response to user demand for smart, flexible, inspiring spaces.
