BVN, with Rod McGeoch, were engaged to prepare a Masterplan for a future Olympic Bid for the city of Buenos Aires.
The project involved undertaking a detailed appraisal of the city, in particular it’s urban and sporting infrastructure, and developing both a conceptual urban masterplan and schematic designs for a number of proposed venues and facilities.
Through this process, BVN engaged with city authorities towards creating a plan which creates a strong Olympic proposal and supports the future vision of the city of Buenos Aires in terms of sustainable development options and urban planning priorities.
- Development and enhancement of Sport, Culture and the Environment within the city
- Engaging the designated Olympic Zone with the city and key urban areas of Buenos Aires
- Olympic Plan based on the preferred ideologies of the International Olympic Committee, including venue clusters and a compact event masterplan
- Promoting the creation of viable legacies in proposed urban development
