The Australian Institute of Architects has announced the 2021 Queensland Architecture Awards winners via virtual stream on Thursday, 24 July.
The Australian Institute of Architects Awards program offers an opportunity for public and peer recognition of the innovative work of Queensland architects.
More than 40 projects across 13 categories were recognised during the awards night, with BVN taking home five awards, including three named awards. The winning projects were:
QUT, Campus to Country
Karl Langer Award for Urban Design.
12 Creek Street ‘The Annex’
The Beatrice Hutton Award for Commercial Architecture.
The Job and Froud Award for Residential Architecture, Multiple Housing.
Land 121 facilities Project, Lavarack Barracks
The Colourbond Steel Award.
Commercial Architecture Award.
A big congratulation to the design teams involved. This is an extraordinary example of BVN’s collective creativity in action.
These awarded projects will now be considered for the Australian Institute of Architects’ National Awards to be announced later this year.
